Birds Caves
Description:
refer to three caves along Birds Rock Creek, GR 402 083. The first and most significant is approximately 18 m wide, 12 m deep and 6 m high, with flat floor. The other two caves are located at GR 409 086, dimensions are 25 m wide, 10 m deep and 10 m high; and at GR 410 086, a there is cave about 30 m long and is effectively a two-story cave. Birds Caves were named by Yuri Bolotin and Michael Keats on a bushwalk of 27 December 2013, to commemorate the brothers James and Richard Bird, after whom Bird Rock Trig Station was named.
