And / or Gorge are now known as, (see) Tunnel Creek and Bells Grotto respectively. The name Penrose Gorge referred to the gorge on the southern side of the Glowworm Tunnel. The names Penrose Creek and Penrose Gorge were the names used by Henry Deane in his reports on the construction of the railway to Newnes in 1906-1907. Ref: Deane, Henry.
