Upturned Giants Table

Description:

is located on the Philosopher’s Walk. It is accessed via Little Capertee Creek Camping Ground by walking towards the base of Old Baldy. Named by Thomas Ebersoll, owner of the Newnes Holiday Cabins, due to a very large upturned rock with one surface almost ‘billiard table-like’ flat. Fortuitously, the surface is orientated in such a way that no moss, lichens or epiphytes grow on it. The analogy to a table top is perfect.
