Wollemi National Park: Noorumboon Gorge and the Cliffs to the East

Description:
Park on Bells Line of Road at GR 766 889. Staying within the national park, make our way to the headwaters of Noorumboon Gorge at GR 772 894, then follow the north west trending ridge above it on the right-hand side, exploring under the cliff lines, till about GR 775 913. Walk under the cliffs above Noorumboon Gorge, then descend to the bottom at GR 771 902. Attempt to climb within it and out onto the ridge to the west. If not successful, take a ledge discovered on a previous walk, leading to the same ridge. Folow the ridge to reconnect with the parked vehicles. About 8 km. Scrambling and exposure. Exploratory.
