For bushwalkers it is the bottom part of the canyon, the spectacular part, and can be visited without difficulty by walking down the Wolgan River Trail from Newnes. Climbing the gully on the left bank, starting at a point 400m downstream from where the road goes steeply up a hill known as Devils Pinch leads to the opening of this gully /canyon.
